Please join us on Saturday, February 29th for a very special sake pairing dinner at Nobu, featuring sake from Tenzan Sake Brewery.

The Sake Shop along with Young’s Market, are honored to welcome Mr. Kensuke Shichida, owner and Master Brewer of Tenzan Sake Brewery, the makers of Shichida sake in Saga Japan.

A delightful 5-course family style dinner will be paired with 5 hand selected sake from Tenzan Sake Brewery, with Mr. Shichida on hand to answer all your sake questions.
 

TENZAN SAKE BREWERY


Located in Saga Prefecture and established in 1875 by the Shichida family, Tenzan Shuzo has been making sake for 145 years.

Currently the family business is in their 5th generation, represented by owner and Master Brewer, Mr. Kensuke Shichida.

The Shichida family has focused on brewing the highest quality sake using the best quality rice. They believe that sake is the joint creation of sake makers and rice farmers, so they constantly strive to work with their suppliers to improve the quality of their sake.

World renowned for its award-winning innovative “New Style” Japanese cuisine, Nobu continues to offer savvy diners across the globe a culinary adventure. Nobu Honolulu is yet another canvas for Chef Nobu Matsuhisa to display his exceptional skills and legendary dishes.

After almost 10 wonderful years in Waikiki, Nobu's relocated to the Ward Village community. Tiradito
A Peruvian style dish of thinly sliced whitefish sprinkled with
dried shoyu salt and a dab of rocotto (Peruvian chili paste).
Garnished with cilantro and a blend of yuzu and lemon juices.

Salmon with Dry Miso Powder
Salmon sashimi seasoned with a savory umami laden blend of
dried miso powder, yuzu, olive oil, garlic chips and chives

Third Course
Crispy Shiitake Mushroom Salad
Fresh field greens mixed with crispy fried shiitake
mushrooms and dressed with a soy sesame vinaigrette

Fourth Course
Gindara
A traditional Miso Butterfish (Gindara), marinated with Nobu's
special sweet "Den" miso then charbroiled to perfection

Fifth Course
Sushi Omakase
Assorted nigiri style and Nobu's special "cup" sushi made
with the chef's fresh seafood selections of the day
