There’s more to Las Vegas than Downtown and The Strip … in fact, on my next trip to Sin City, I may spend more of my time in Chinatown because so many great food places are popping up there. One of my favorite spots isn’t new (and I’ve actually blogged about it before) is Raku, an izakaya known for its robata grill items.
Foodies, chefs, and Las Vegas locals all know about this place, and you should, too. Celeb chef Lee Anne Wong saw my instagrams and said, “You are eating at my house of worship, my ONLY reason for eating in Vegas.” Is that enough of an endorsement for you? Okay, here’s what we ate this time:
Dinner at Raku
If you have time, check out Raku, an izakaya way off the strip. Call at least a week ahead to make reservations, and get the earliest seating possible because they run out of food all the time. They have a two-hour limit for each seating, but you will be full in that time.Raku

I don’t know about catching a taxi out to Raku, because I always rent a car so I can go off strip. My recommendation for you is to at least rent a car for one day so you can do Chinatown, shop at Trader Joe’s, and eat at Raku.
