Aloha Fukuoka! Aloha … McDonald’s?

Yes, it’s true. We stopped at McDonald’s to eat. Before you close that browser button, hear me out! We weren’t eating at McDonald’s because we wanted to eat something familiar and American; we wanted to see what they had on the menu that was different from what we can get in our home country, even Hawaii.

No matter where you go in the world, the local McDonald’s will always have a few items that are specific to their market’s taste. Here’s what we tried in Fukuoka — have you tried these?

I wouldn't be able to tell the difference between a beef and pork patty. That Filet O Ebi sounds mmmmmmmmm good.

You two just missed the Big America burgers at McDonald's Japan, like the Grand Canyon Burger and Las Vegas Burger, and the Ringo Burger at Burger King.

As a mater of fact, I haven't been to Mcdonald's anywhere for years or Burger King.....

Delicate Blossom & Cat:  Curious to know if MCD also serves rice like we do here.  Last time I went to Japan was so long ago I never went to a MCD there.

@HuyVo I think McD's is definitely a guy thing! Actually, if I were expecting the pork patty, I wouldn't be as turned off. But we bit into it expecting beef, which was what threw us off.

@M LOL! I wouldn't normally go, but when in a different country I like to see what they have that's different.
