Modern soul artist Booker T Jones will headline the event with his distinctive bedrock grooves and contemporary R&B. It’s the first time he’ll be performing in Hawaii with a band. Throughout his career, Booker T and his bandmates created a special brand of soul, backing not only Otis Redding, but seminal recordings by Sam & Dave, Wilson Pickett and Albert King. Also performing at this year’s Hallowbaloo: Local artists Taimane Gardner, Mike Love, Tubby Love and Ron Artis II and Thunderstorm, North Shore siblings seen as one of the islands’ next big musical exports.

The main stage and epicenter of the street festival will be located on the HiSAM lawn. Two additional stages will be erected on Richards Street with food, beverage and vendor tents interspersed along both Richards Street and Hotel Street (between Alakea and Richards streets).
