Tickets going fast for Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival

15191868626_7bfd63bb2d_zIf you’re interested in attending this year’s Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival, it’s time to set your plans. Ticket sales have been brisk for the fifth annual celebration, which runs from Aug. 29 to Sept. 13, with a few events near selling out.

Once again, the festival will draw top chefs from around the world to Hawaii Island, Maui and Oahu for various culinary events, all in the name of charity. Last year, the festival raised more than $250,000 for local beneficiaries, including the Leeward Community College Culinary Arts program, Hawaii Island Farmers and Ranchers and the Hawaii Agricultural Foundation. Top chefs at this year’s festival include Graham Elliot, a judge of the reality cooking show, “MasterChef,” Art Smith, former private chef for Oprah Winfrey and Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto.
