In his closing remarks, Con CEO Faisal Ahmed said badges sold totaled about 11,600 this year, a new record for the annual event. Now in its twelfth year, Kawaii Kon remains Hawaii’s largest anime, manga, gamer and Japanese culture convention.

The second day of Kawaii Kon reached peak levels of geekiness at the Hawaii Convention Center. Highlights from Saturday included a cosplay contest, Moonlight Ball and Saturday night dance parties, plus a concert by Jpop group GARNiDELiA.

The last day wrapped things up with great cosplay, a Lolita Kawaii Tea, a concert by EMKE and the closing ceremonies.
