The annual Hallowbaloo Music & Arts festival moved from Chinatown to Downtown’s historic district, with the Hawaii State Art Museum serving as the hub. Costumed attendees roamed the streets, lined with local food and drink vendors, while the crowd gathered on the lawn in front of HISAM for entertainment by local talent Ron Artis Jr. and his brother Thunderstorm, Taimane Garner and special guest soul music legend Booker T Jones and his band.
At 10 p.m., the crowds moved into Chinatown for Club Hallowbaloo, a Halloween “block party” with eight participating bars and clubs – Bar 35, NextDoor, Downbeat Lounge, Manifest, Fresh Cafe Downtown, The ARTS at Marks Garage, Scarlet Honolulu and Square Barrels – for one cover.
