Bloomingdale’s hosted a private gala Wednesday night to celebrate its opening in Ala Moana’s new Ewa wing. Guests walked a red carpet and were greeted with lei presented by top-hat wearing models. Champagne quenched their thirst as they browsed three brand-new stories of fashion.
Among the mannequins and designer clothing were hand-crafted cocktails, bites by local chefs and a live musical performance. A lineup of Miss Hawaiis, including Frolic’s own Olena Heu (Miss Hawaii 2004) and Miss Hawaii 2015 Jeanne Kapela mingled with guests, showcasing styles available at the country’s newest Bloomingdale’s.
Bloomingdale’s officially opens today, Thursday, Nov. 12.
