The American Heart Association (AHA) gathered its sponsors and hundreds of Honolulu’s socialites together at Trump Tower Saturday for an evening of food, drinks and fashion to raise money to help support the Association’s mission of raising awareness for heart disease and stroke. Attendees were encouraged to rock their red outfits, symbolizing awareness that heart disease is the #1 killer in women. A special slide presentation showcased four women in the community, the “Queens of Hearts,” who have been affected by heart disease. Local designer Ari South created several special red dresses in honor of the cause, and highlights included a healthy juice bar, heart-friendly food and an interactive CPR station run by the Honolulu Fire Fighters.
