Yoga and cocktails? Yes, they do pair. That’s what was discovered Saturday morning as part of a new Hawai‘i Food & Wine Festival event, aptly named Apres Yoga, After Savasana, There is Sake.
CorePower Yoga instructor Juri Edwards, one of the studio’s most popular instructors, led a relaxing session inside Outrigger Waikiki Beach Resort. Originally, the instruction was to take place on the beach, but the erratic weather forced a change of plans. After, with everyone in a calm state, chef Graham Elliot of Chicago’s Graham Elliot Bistro, chef Keith Kong of Duke’s Waikiki and chef Matt Young of Hula Grill Waikiki prepared morning snacks post-yoga snacks with a focus on local fruits. TY KU cocktails added the finishing touch to zendom.
