The Moana Surfrider on Friday hosted Collections of Waikiki, a birthday celebration marking the 113th anniversary of the hotel. To celebrate, the hotel played backdrop to an informal fashion show, featuring clothing from select Waikiki boutiques. Hosted by Japanese television personality Angela Maki Vernon, the event showcased looks from Vivienne Westwood, First Break Hawaii, San Lorenzo Bikinis, Pashma, Reyn Spooner and Volcom. Models made their way out in three separate sets — casual beach wear, trendy resort wear and fashion-forward cocktail wear. At a later reception, guests were treated to cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and acoustic music from Na Hoku Hanohano Award-winning musician Kamuela Kahoano.
