In just a few weeks, “Dancing With the Stars” will be heading into its 19th season, and no one is more ready than long-time veteran, and former DWTS champion Karina Smirnoff, who has been with the ABC show for 16 of those 19 seasons, has one title under her belt, two second place finishes and multiple semi-final appearances.
Time apparently does fly, because it was nearly two and a half years since I last got to sit down with the DWTS powerhouse for an interview. Smirnoff, now 36, has had an array of partners over the years, ranging from a billionaire techie, a Disney Channel star, an Olympic boxing medalist, and even a one-time partnership with former lover, Mario Lopez.
This week, Karina is back in Hawaii for two exhibition style dance shows called, “Ballroom With A Twist,” alongside other DTWS pros Sharna Burgess, Maksim and Valentin Chmerkovskiy and Tony Dovolani.
