The International Market Place will celebrate its first anniversary on August 25, 2017, marking the reopening of the shopping and dining destination. Recent additions to the lineup of dining venues include Mitsuwa Marketplace, THE STREET, a new food hall concept by Chef Michael Mina, and Herringbone.

In celebration, events throughout the shopping center will include special entertainment, shopping promotions, and more:

• Waikīkī Nights: Duke Kahanamoku Inspired Films & Talk Story on August 24 from 7:30 – 9 p.m.
To commemorate Duke Kahanamoku’s birthday, a special showcase of Hawaii News Now’s ‘Duke Kahanamoku: Hawaii’s Soul’ documentary in partnership with Duke’s OceanFest will be
shown in Queen’s Court. Learn about the legendary waterman and father of international surfing whose iconic namesake nightclub at International Market Place jump-started the careers of
countless local entertainers. Talk story with former senator and world-known surfer Fred Hemmings as he presents “Duke’s Longest Ride.”

• Anniversary Weekend Promotion (August 25 – 27): Enjoy special anniversary promotions from participating stores and restaurants.

• International Market Place’s One-Year Anniversary (August 25, 3 – 4 p.m.): Celebrate the anniversary by enjoying an afternoon at the Queen’s Court showcasing Hawaiian music and other genres and a special performance by the Royal Hawaiian Band.

• The Island Vibes Summer Concert Series, featuring local musicians at the Queen’s Court stage will be on August 26 and 27 from 2 – 6 p.m for the celebration weekend. Na Leo and Irie Love will take the stage for the celebration.

• Earn 10x HawaiianMiles when shopping at any International Market Place retailer or restaurant from August 26 to 27.
