Your guide to Saturday’s Night Market

Time once again for the Kakaako block party that blows up the ‘hood, with more than food, more than shopping, more than fashion, street performers and live music. This time Honolulu Night Market stretches down Auahi from Keawe to Lana Lane with more acts and a theme of pop.

Pop what? Pop art, for starters, pop dancing, pop performances, and the pop-up retail (14 vendors at Pinch of Salt, voted Honolulu’s best late-night shopping) and pop-up food (13 trucks and street food booths), you already know. Add to that three fashion shows strutting college style, resort style and street style, while Sing the Body and then Taimane take the stage under the urban stars.

Hey, and don’t forget the Instagrams and Twitpics. Hashtag for the night: #ourkakaako.

Here’s the basics of what you need to know, plus close-up looks at who’s coming and what’s in store for you to eat, buy, see and do.
