ETS debut: India Cafe

Chicken tikka masala, vegetable curry, spicy eggplant: Exotic flavors of India make their debut at Eat the Street, courtesy of Kailua’s India Cafe. And just in case you’re still full from tomorrow’s Thanksgiving feasting, in keeping with this month’s ETS pupu party theme, India Cafe will have a $5 chicken curry bowl in addition to its lineup of plates.

But don’t let us do all the talking about exotic flavors. Watch the video and see for yourself.

I miss them being in town! But I'm gonna make a beeline for them on Saturday!

EO: Was this place in Kapahulu or is it another Indian restaurant I'm thinking about? Do they make naan bread? I dig naan!

@Annoddah_Dave yes, no, yes. they used to be on kapahulu in kilohana square but have moved to kailua, and they do make naan -- too bad they cannot bring the tandoor to ets!

@nonstopmari@Melissa808 India Cafe has an "express" kiosk on the UH Manoa campus and I am a frequent visitor. They seem to be gaining in popularity so I have to get there earlier for lunch now. Love having the different meat and veggie curries with some roti bread. My faves are the chicken tikka masala and the spinach chicken, as well as the okra and spinach tofu. Just a warning that the spicy eggplant can be pretty fiery as well as the Thai spicy noodles, at least to me. Oh and if they have samosas those are really good too. Anyway glad they're gonna be at Eat The Street, I think they'll do well!
