Hawaii Fashion Incubator, Na Mea Hawaii and Street Grindz will be debuting new Art Cards at Saturday’s Honolulu Night Market, highlighting images inspired by Hawaii Fashion Month, and we got an exclusive sneak peak.
It’s no surprise that fashion fans like me are stoked that we can now collect, trade or redeem this limited edition of the HFM Fashion Art Cards at Honolulu Night Market tomorrow night, and again at the April Honolulu Night Market. Another perk of participating in this innovative play on “currency” directly supports local creative industries and the professionals that make them thrive.
There are 40 cards in each deck depicting an epic moment in Hawaii fashion, and the names of the photographers, hair and make-up artists, models, designers, producers and stylists are listed on the back. Speaking of stylists, so psyched, two shows that I styled and produced this year made the cut.
If you miss Honolulu Night Market, really try not to but if you do, you can pick up a limited edition deck at Na Mea Hawaii during store hours. Prices are $25 per deck, $5 for 8 singles, and $10 for 15 singles, available now thru April.
Here’s how you can play and trade in style at Honolulu Night Market:
Channel your inner model and get dolled up for a Glam shot. Trade 15 HFM Fashion Art Cards and a team of Hifi members will be on hand to get you, or you and your entourage, camera ready for a fun photo. Face Art Beauty will hook you up with a fabulous lip or eye. Throw on some pieces from Nicole Vermillion and get styled by Rebecca Atkins. For a special touch, mink lashes will be available for purchase and application.
