If you’re not sure where you want to spend New Year’s Eve, it’s hard to beat the Party of the Year in Kakaako for sheer size and variety. For the fourth year in a row, the giant party goes off with a bang at Kakaako Waterfront Park, featuring live music by some of Hawaii’s top bands like The Green plus headlining national hit recording artists The Cataracs (responsible for club favorites like “Like a G6,” “Bass Down Low”), over 40 Eat the Street food trucks in the parking lot, carnival rides and a giant ferris wheel courtesy EK Fernandez, and let’s not forget the fireworks! Every hour, they’ll be setting off a mini fireworks show, culminating in the grand finale at midnight.

Nonstop is proud to once again be sponsoring the biggest New Year’s Eve celebration in town.

Here’s our recommendations of a few things to see and do at this year’s party:

-Bring your family! It’s like a carnival; while there are some spots the keiki won’t be able to enter, there is definitely something for everyone. Don’t forget a blanket to sit and watch the fireworks.

-Have dinner at Eat the Street. Since there’s no regular Eat the Street this month, all the food trucks will be in the parking lot fronting Kakaako Park, along with a beer garden and places to sit and eat.

-Ride the ferris wheel, but time it so you’ll catch the hourly fireworks. The view is spectacular!

-Catch some of Hawaii’s best local bands on the Concert Stage. The Green, Kapena, Nesian Nine and others will be playing.

-Count down to the New Year with the Cararacs, on the Power 104.3 Stage. Niles “Cyranizzy” Hollowell-Dhar, who is now the sole performer behind club hit artists The Cataracs (if you’ve ever gone clubbing, you’ve probably heard some of their songs) will get you pumped for the countdown, and then take you into the New Year.39

-If you want an even better view of the party, buy a VIP ticket. It gets you a seat on the Party Platform on top of the hill in the middle of the park, dedicated food and drink servers, and dedicated bar & restrooms.
