Omiyage: The Beef Jerky Store

Share Button

Every time anyone in my family goes to Las Vegas, we always visit The Beef Jerky Store to shop for omiyage. Located near Fremont Street, this store is filled with li hing goodies, dried fruits, candy, nuts and of course, beef jerky. Formerly known as the No Ka Oi store, my family has been making regular stops to this nondescript shop for as long as I can remember.

I had a list of usual family favorites to pick up, but what I love most about this store is that every time I visit it, I always find something new.

Wow, I wonder how long some of those bags have been on the shelf? ... a lot of inventory. Then again, it probably does not matter. I could never develop a taste for beef jerky, but dried fruits, that's a different story.

A MUST STOP for anyone from Hawaii. The Garlic Pistachio's are what I bring back for myself. This store has way more goodies than our local "Unlimited" seed store.

Another couple of items that people seem to like are the Flavored Sliced Bagel Crisps which is available upstairs at The Cal and Karen's Cookies which moved from Union Plaza across the street to Vegas Club.

Used to go to this store (in addition to the store in the Plaza for the cinnamon crisps) all the time for omiyage! And then we started to go to Trader Joe's. And now you've given another spot for omiyage . . . Max Brenner!

@harrycovair I checked out Las Vegas Jerky in the Las Vegas Club. It's a smaller space and they didn't have a lot of the stuff they used to when they were in the Plaza.

BTW - I'm gonna do an "unboxing" video of the chocolate crisps you brought back for us later today. Thanks!

@Melissa808 I must have missed that. After seeing the dried natto, I was so grossed out that I stopped browsing.
