Aside from being the going away party of our good friend and prolific foodie Gypsy Raven, Sunday marked the beginning of Kanu Hawaii‘s Eat Local Challenge. Getting together in observance of both events, a group of us met at the home of chefs Holly and Moumen El Hajji. Topped with locally produced ingredients, Chef Moumen’s pizzas could easily rival the best pizza places in Honolulu.
The Eat Local Challenge is a weeklong commitment to eat locally grown foods organized by Kanu Hawaii. The challenge runs from Sept. 26 to Oct. 2.
