Murder and comedy don’t usually go together, unless you’re a murderino (as fans call themselves) anticipating the live performance of the popular My Favorite Murder podcast. Karen Kilgariff and Georgia Hardstark talk about horrible cases in their signature offbeat and somehow empowering way. Expect some of Hawai‘i’s own cases to get top billing and pay extra for a special meet-and-greet session with the hosts.

Blaisdell Concert Hall, $39.50–$184.50, blaisdellcenter.com

Entertainment includes Josh Tatofi, Herb Ohta Jr. (the son of ‘ukulele master Ohta-san) and Japan’s Seiji Katz. Since the new site is right in Ward Village, you can wander away to grab a bite or do some shopping in between sets.

Yes, you will stand up when the real Slim Shady arrives at Aloha Stadium. Eminem stops over this month on his way to big stadium shows in Australia. While his last two albums received their fair share of pans—many critics called Kamikaze the work of a clearly middle-aged Marshall Mathers—we’re sure fans of the groundbreaking rapper will crowd in for his only U.S. performance so far scheduled in 2019.
